Carver Financial Services Inc. has a long tradition of philanthropy. You can see some of the recognition on our website here. It is our honor and privilege to serve those who most need our help and to support those who are doing this important work.
Since our firm’s founding, we have been involved in generating food donations for those in our community. This initiative has raised more than 250,000 meals so far.
Our annual charity golf event was founded, from which 100% of the net proceeds are donated to local nonprofit organizations. Since the inception more than $200,000 has been donated.
We held a community shredding day to provide complimentary document shredding for those in our community. We have asked those who utilize the service to donate non-perishable food items for the hungry in our county. Mentor High School Honors Students volunteer to help unload shredding and food providing a win-win-win as the community, the students and those whose identities are protected benefit.
We began an initiative called Carver Cares, to highlight and support local charitable organizations. The goals are to raise awareness of the services available to the community and to help support the organizations monetarily. At selected events throughout the year, local organizations will provide a brief overview of their mission, services and organizations. As a company we will match any donations to the highlighted organization – up to $4,000 – made in the month following the event. We let clients know which organization we are highlighting prior the event. The community partners are listed in event communications and on our Events Page

. Charities are selected based on information obtained from Form 990, as well as their financial responsibility.
Current initiatives with golf and raising food reached record levels. In 2016, Carver Financial made a donation of cash to a local charity in lieu of sending holiday cards.
For the last few years, a food drive has been held as part of our Client Appreciation Event at the Lake County Captain’s baseball game. This year, over 1,700 clients, family and friends who came to the game brought enough non-perishable food for nearly 3,000 meals, which was donated to End 68 Hours of Hunger Lake County.
